Driver: San Francisco has seven different chapters, all with six individual missions.
Prologue[]
Chapter 1: With Great Power[]
City missions[]
City missions unlock Tanner's missions as well as activities. The chase (left) includes losing cops, protecting vehicle, and taking down a getaway. The race (mid) wins if the player is 1st or 2nd. The stunt (right) includes drifts, jumps, overtakes, and other skill events.
The yellow circle with a lock means that the Tanner's mission is locked. The lock will disappear once a city mission is completed.
The missions can be completed in any order.
- Breaking News (Stunt)
- College Fund (Race)
- Learn to Scream (Stunt)
- Meet the Heat (Chase)
Ram[]
When one of the city missions are completed, the ram ability is unlocked.
- Hold (Ram) to charge.
- Release (Ram) to use.
Tutorial:
- Shift into a vehicle (Shift)
- Ram a vehicle. After that,
- Ram 3 more vehicles.
Boost[]
When four city missions are completed, the boost ability is unlocked.
- Accelerate + (Boost) to boost!
Tutorial:
- Shift into a vehicle
- Try out the boost. After that,
- Boost for 1 second.

Once Prove It is completed, the last mission for this chapter is unlocked.

Tanner: Ah, she's shook up, but she'll be alright.
Jones: Not everyday you get locked in the trunk of a car.

Rapid Shift[]
After the movie, the rapid shift ability is unlocked.
- Press (Rapid Shift) to rapid shift.
- Rapid shift cancels shift.
- Return instantly to vehicle.
Tutorial:
- (Shift) enter shift.
- Press (Shift) to rapid shift.
In taking down the getaway...
- Press (Shift) to rapid shift. Use rapid shift thrice until the progress bar is full.
- Now, take down the getaway with rapid shift!

After the text, by the way this Mission is called The Target, and it's the final chapter 6 mission, you follow your own car, and as you get close, this happens.
Leila: Slow down, we should acquire the target any time now. The yellow Dodge, up ahead. Stay close but don't be obvious.
Tanner: That's my car.
Leila: What?! That's the cop that's been getting in our way.
Tanner: Do we follow him to the target?
Leila: He IS the target.
